The award-winning US network television series

Boston Legal featured the Nimmo Bay Resort in a

contentious episode titled Finding Nimmo that aired

in fall 2005.

Filmed in Nimmo Bay in April 2005, Emmy-winning

actors William Shatner and James Spader, who play

Boston lawyers, arrive at the remote fishing hole

for a weekend of male bonding and flyfishing, but

become embroiled in the politics of fish farming

versus wild fish.

The episode deals with the threat that fish farms pose

to wild salmon through the proliferation of sea lice,

and includes a courtroom scene set in Port McNeill

on Vancouver Island. Location:

Nimmo Bay is located on the BC mainland, 200 miles

(320 kms) northwest of Vancouver.
