In Victoria visit the National Geographic Imax Theatre in the same building as the Royal BC Museum

the collar and yanks you right into the action.

 National Geographic IMAX Theatre is located at the

Royal BC Museum.

 

 

THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC IMAX THEATRE

brings in many different assortments of big budget

 screen adventures, biopics and documentaries from

around the world for the public to view.

 The Victoria IMAX Theatre has some monster movie

screens that reach up 6 stories high with an audio

 digital sound of 12000 watts.

 

The IMAX films grab you by the collar and yank

you right into the action. 

 Feel the realism, experience the emotions and

 become part of the story while comfortably

wrapped up in a movie screen blanket.

 

  Nationa Geographic Theatre is an educational ride

around the word riding the sights and sounds on the

 big screen.

 

  The theatre experience is created using the latest

70 mm film technology in a rolling loop format that

runs through a monster projector with each frame

 sizing an area of 10 times that of a 35 mm film.

 

An  Imax theatre process that, not only produces

 images 6 stories  high, but the film is also projected

 70 feet wide. 

The is more than 4,000 times the area of your

computer screen!

 

So when landscapes , mountains, lions, even snakes or

 just about anything up on the big screen…it looking

 pretty vast and big. 

 

 The National Geographic IMAX Theatre in Victoria 

 is a 400 seat auditorium located inside the same

 building as the Royal BC Museum on Victoria

 Inner Harbour. 

 

 At all times there is up to 5 films to choose per

 production run at the IMAX. 

 

 It is best to phone and see what is playing at the

 theatre, because being environmental out here on

the west coast we see a lot of windernes, wildlife and

 outdoor adventure type IMAX films
