This Shrine is and has always been considered a


 Our local people have found in Saint Anne the way o

f simplicity and truth that leads them to Jesus, that reveals

 the Church to them, and that guides them in their

lives as Christians


Important moments in her life
After 20 years of marriage, Anne had not yet given birth to a child.

As a result, Joachim, her husband, withdrew to the desert.

An angel appeared to them both, and told them that their

 desire to have a child would be fulfilled.

They meet at the Golden Gate at the entrance of

Jerusalem, and some time later, Anne gives birth to Mary

Let’s Celebrate Life!
Lord Jesus, we praise you and thank you for your Incarnation.

You are the Tree of Life that has grown throughout history bearing the fruits of your love.
Through your death and resurrection, you transformed the cross, tree of death, into a tree of life.
Take root in us, Lord, so that the fruits of the Spirit may shine forth in our lives: love, joy,

 peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
You have given us the gift of Grandmother Saint Anne.

 Overflowing with your love, she is a source of hope for us. With you and with her

, let’s celebrate life! Amen.

As soon as you enter Quebec City, either by Highway 20 or

 Highway 40, there are road signs indicating the way to

Once you have driven through Quebec City, you have two options:

– You can take Boulevard Sainte-Anne (highway 138).

You will arrive in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré in about 25 minutes. –

You can take Avenue Royale (Route de la Nouvelle France / Chemin du Roi),

 one of the oldest roads in Canada.

It will take you a little longer to arrive, but it’s worth it!
