Sidney Summer Market, the best in British Columbia

North of Victoria and home to the BC Ferries

Swartz Bay Terminal, civilized Sidney marries

urban affability to a glorious seaside location

and island-studded coast described as the

“5th best cruising destination in the world.”

Come browse Sidney’s boutiques and bookshops.

Nights are for dining Pacific Northwest, Asian or

European-style at the ocean’s edge.

But save the days for adventure touring, diving,

fishing, golf, hiking, biking, kayaking, shopping,

whale watching, wine tasting and exploring the

Gulf Islands National Park Reserve.

Over 200 vendors sell gifts, fresh produce,

hand-made crafts, great food, and so much more!

Wonderful entertainment on every block!

The market lines the main street of Beacon Avenue,

between First and Fifth Streets. Parking is available

on side streets and public lots, and is permitted in

municipal lots after 5:00 pm.

This Annual Sidney Summer Attraction is now

considered to be one of the best destination

events to visit in the area.

Sidney Summer Street Market It’s that time

of year again.

The Sidney Summer Street Market starts Thursday

June 2nd from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm and runs every

Thursday through to the end of August.

Beacon Ave will be closed from 5th street down

to the water to accommodate the myriad of

vendors, local artisans and buskers.

Browse the wide variety of farm produce from

local farmers while sampling the delicious

baked goods.

Be serenaded by local musicians while perusing

the artisan displays of crafts from pottery to

welded sculptures and stained glass.

Food vendors are also on site for those

wishing to have dinner while at the market.

Be careful of the mouthwatering mini donuts!

Enjoy this season’s Sidney Summer Street Market.

And here is an update about last weeks and

this weeks market from our wonderful

organizer Patti Anthony

Great market day for everyone!!

Lost children found, new entertainment debuted

and no drama!

Hi Everyone,

Well, last market day was full of new customers,

in fact 3 bus loads of visitors from around the world!

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruises will be

increasing their shore excursions every week to

include the Sidney summer market through out

the summer.

We have also included new entertainment including

Jugglers and human statues and of course great

music and fantastic new vendors.

A few updates: I took around 50 pictures last market

and they will be up on facebook tomorrow showcasing

your businesses.

We have the opportunity to have another

smaller market ( 50 – 60 vendors) on

West Saanich Road running on a Wed night at the

same time as the Sidney Market.

This market would also allow the opportunity showcase

your products all year long in a co-op section of a

heavy consumer traffic building on the location.

If you are interested, please contact me directly at

the office 250 655-6417 or my cell 250 589-3690.

I have had a call requesting the non profit numbers for

all of those who have registered as a non profit for

our market.

I have many of your numbers already, but if you haven’t

given me yours I will be around this upcoming market

to make sure I have them on file.

A big congratulations to Melinda’s Biscotti for being

recognized as having glutten free Biscotti and passing

all glutten free tests with flying colours!

I am impresssed with how much talent there

is around me.

This week a booth in block 1 near the post office will

be displaying the artistic talents of a 7 year old who

will be donating all of the proceeds of the sale of

her paintings to providing art supplies for children

whose families can’t afford them otherwise.

True entrenpenurship at an early age!

All of you have talent and a business that can thrive

when you put your heart into it.

Dedication has a way of producing very very

high returns!!!!

I have a wack of pictures to include in this email,

but will save them till tomorrow!

Did I bite off more than I can chew?…

I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday.
Cheers Patti
