It’s a beautiful province BC and so are it’s people

Michael J. fox was born Michael Andrew Fox on

June 9, 1961 to William and Phyllis Fox in

Edmonton, Alberta; Canada.

He was the fourth of five children, having one

brother and three sisters.

William Fox was in the Canadian Army and the

Fox family moved several times during Michael’s

childhood.

The Foxes resided in places such as Chilliwack,

British Columbia and North Bay, Ontario.

Fortunately, Michael was good at making friends

quickly.

When Michael was five, the family settled in

Burnaby, British Columbia, a suburb of

Vancouver.

This is where Michael grew up.

Michael J. Fox’s first prominent role came on a

Canadian sitcom Leo and Me, where he played

the main character’s 10-year-old tag-along

sidekick.

Fox was 15 when he landed the part, but so short

and baby-faced he easily passed for prepubescent

Fox met his wife, actress Tracy Pollan, when she

played his romantic interest on a few memorable

episodes of Family Ties.

By most accounts, Fox was always willing to sign

autographs and chat with fans, but he became

more withdrawn from the public after a stalker

sent him thousands of threatening letters.

Fox and Pollan are extremely protective of their

four children, almost never allowing them to be

photographed for publication.

Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative

disorder of unknown cause that affects nearly

5 million individuals worldwide.

While advancing age remains the greatest risk

factor, PD can strike people even under age 30.

The full spectrum of Parkinson’s disease is not

well addressed by current treatments, which can

only mask some symptoms as the underlying

disease continues to worsen.

Learn more here about the disease, how to cope

with diagnosis, and why MJFF believes a cure is

within reach.

Muhammad Ali proves a hit with these Foxy ladies

– as he meets actor Michael J Fox and his family.

The boxing legend, 68, lent some heavyweight

support as fellow Parkinson’s disease sufferer

Michael, 49, held a New York charity bash.

Also there were Michael’s wife Tracy Pollan, 50,

their twins Schuyler, above left, and Aquinna, 15.

The Michael J Fox Foundation helps to fight the

debilitating disease.

Here’s hoping that one day they can deal it a

 knockout blow…

WHAT CAN I SAY BUT BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY

BUT EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.

GIVING WHAT THEY HAVE FOR WHAT THEY

BELIEVE IN…
