Victoria’s Butterfly Gardens was opened in 1994 and is one of the largest conservatories in Canada.

The conservatory is an enchanting place where the flowers are always blooming and the butterflies are the star attraction.

The gardens are a photographer’s paradise and a wonderful place to learn.

Butterfly Gardens are privately owned and consist of an indoor, tropical garden built specifically for housing and breeding butterflies and moths from all over the world.

The garden is computer regulated to create the necessary temperature (approximately 80 Degrees F) and humidity (approximately 85%) for the butterflies to carry out their life cycle and breed naturally in the garden.

Stroll amid hundreds of free flying butterflies and visit with the friendliest birds anywhere.

These enclosed gardens are home to hundreds of exotic free flying butterflies that are sure to capture the imaginations of young and old.

Come and watch the magic shapes and colors of exotic butterflies.

Butterfly Gardens features 30 species of exotic butterflies including the brilliant Blue Morpho and the delicately patterned Giant Owl. Butterfly Gardens is a tropical paradise which is enjoyed by visitors of all ages.
