Bring a toy and ride the West Coast Train all the way to Christmas

The annual Santa Train takes to the rails again on

Saturday 11th and 18th December.

To ride the Santa Train, all you need to bring is a

new, un-used and unwrapped toy to any WCE

station (on either December 11th or 18th);

in exchange, you will receive a return ticket for

the West Coast Express – to be used on the same

day.

This year we have made things that much merrier,

by creating a special holiday event at Waterfront

station.

We’ll have holiday music, face painting, photo

opportunities and even train tours for those

unfamiliar with the West Coast Express.

But please note, this event will be in effect on

Saturday December 11th only.

As a way of providing even more help, to those in

need, we’ve now expanded the Santa Train to be a

food drive as well as a toy drive.

During the week of Dec 11-18 you can drop off

your canned goods at the food collection bins at

Waterfront Station and at CTV, Abbotsford Heat

Hockey Club and Black Press, our charity train

partners.

Though we will certainly appreciate any

donations of canned food, we should clarify that

to ride the Santa Train you will need to bring a

new unwrapped toy.

This means that we will not be able to exchange a

Santa Train ticket for a food donation;

it is however, a wonderful gesture of added

generosity.

donations or our charity partners, please contact

The West Coast Express will operate a special

SANTA TRAIN on Dec 11 & 18 this year…

Trains leave Mission City at 10am, and make

regular stops all the way to Waterfront Station…

The return trip leaves Waterfront Station at 5pm…

(If that return time doesn’t work for you,

bus #160 is every 30 minutes from downtown out

to Port Moody/Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam, with

connections to the #701 to go further east out to

Pitt Meadows & Maple Ridge.

As well: WCE also runs a few “TrainBus”

trips too…)

Ride FREE when donating a new unwrapped toy

to the Christmas Bureau!
